From its inception, Women In Focus, Inc. has been dedicated to helping students of color achieve their dreams. To assist in this process, the organization has channeled its work in two directions: promoting literacy, specifically reading and reading-related activities, and awarding scholarships to encourage education beyond high school. This vision remains paramount in the organization’s efforts and investments for the future.

Join Women in Focus (WIF) and find the membership level that aligns with your commitment and desire to see our organization succeed and grow! We offer three Pathways designed to fit your unique situation:
- Friends In Focus: Perfect for supporters who wish to contribute financially and attend events, but who cannot commit to regular meetings or committee work. This level involves a monthly donation of $15 or a $160 lump sum annually. There are limited spots available, and this level is nonvoting. This level is for those who want to help us grow and support our cause and be invested in the work and support the organization overall! This is also a great entry pathway if considering membership in the future.
- Affiliate: Ideal for those new to WIF who want to explore the commitment of a full membership. Affiliates attend meetings, select a committee to work on, and make a monthly donation of $15 or a $160 lump sum annually. Membership at this level is capped at two consecutive years, after which you can transition to Full Membership or to Friends In Focus. This is perfect for someone who is ready to commit and it also allows WIF to get to know you while you explore the work and impact of our collective efforts!
- Full Membership: For women fully committed to the WIF mission and believing in our work. Full members attend meetings, vote on motions, and can serve as a committee Chair. The monthly donation is $20 (or a $200 annual lump sum) and includes one ball ticket. There are up to 35 spots available for this level. You are eligible for this level if you have served one year as a Friends in Focus, Affiliate, or former WIF member.
Women interested in membership can apply here on our website. Applications are reviewed by our membership at the monthly meeting, and accepted members are then onboarded to the organization.
